Aromaté is a High End Tea company where quality and flavor is important. Aromaté contains different flavorful loose tea, organic leaves, flowers and fruits. It was created to bring memories from the nature to you in a most aromatic and flavorful tea possible.
Challenge
Creating a brand for a start up company, logo, company name and creating an app to help new clients to make their perfect tea. Also creating a series of packaging designs with a systematic look and feel where the tea can be stored temporarily for fast use or for longer storage so it will preserve the quality of the tea.
Solution
To create the names of the new company we started with the naming process by developing a word list and a mind-map of relevant ideas. The packaging should be recycle friendly and should bring the attention of the costumers to represent good quality.
Research
Who is the audience?
The target audience for drinking tea is very broad and once was predominately by female and older consumer. Males and young professional now are drinking tea. The one we are focusing is for college students and young professional from 20 to 39 year old. The product would be sold in stores or directly to the companies, so that they consume tea.
Why drinking tea?
There are different type of tea and flavors. For example: green tea, black tea, fruit tea and more. Research shows that the average consumer audience from drinking tea are young people as been the life blood of the tea industry as they will likely be responsible for a significant expansion of the market as they age and experiment with other forms of tea. According to teausa.org and more people are substituting coffee for tea for caffeinen and different taste.
Typography and color
For the type font solution of the logo I wanted to find a serif organic font, the result was Oriya MN. Oriya has thin and thick strokes and from the shape of the ear of the letter "r" it was easy to imagine the shape of a leaf, which represent the loose-leaf tea product, which unifies the product and brand representation.
Identity
In Spanish Aroma means fragrance and té means tea. Putting these two words together we get an infusion of words making the name "Aromaté". For the logo solution we end up using the letter "A" where it is a teapot with aroma coming out from it.
packaging
Each color will identify types of tea. For example, Yellow will represent an invigorate morning tea. Orange will represent a mid day maintenance refresher tea. Deep red represent a sunset blend and relaxation.
package prototype
This package was created when I designed the first logo under test.
